Heim
Data Systems, Inc.[HDS] is owned by
the Zodiac Corporation, a US
aerospace company in the Zodiac
organization.
HDS provides US sales and support
for the products of Heim Systems
GmbH. Based in Cologne, Germany,
Heim Systems designs, develops,
manufactures and supports high
quality data acquisition hardware
and related software products for
application around the world.
Heim Systems products are globally
applied in the automotive,
industrial, scientific, aerospace,
government and military markets for
acquisition of data related to
performance testing, development,
research, surveillance, missions,
and other activities requiring
accurate, long term monitoring,
analysis and archiving of high value
data. The products can interface to
a wide variety of sensor and
telemetry data including analog,
digital, bus and computer sources.
Heim Systems has been designing and
manufacturing data acquisition
recorders for over fifty years -
some achievement in these days of
rapidly changing technologies and
economies.
With
data rates from 4 Mbit/s up to 256
Mbit/s the Airborne series offers
state-of-the-art data acquisition
systems to simultaneously record
analog, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429,
Video, PCM data streams and other
signals. The range of interface
modules can be configured in minutes
by the user to meet the requirements
of virtually any application in most
models.
The data can be stored on tape
(AIT-2 or AIT-3 depending on model),
hard disk drive, or solid state
memory (flash drive or PCMCIA). When
digital analysis is required, a low
cost playback unit can be used to
download data to analysis platforms
while the recorder remains in
commission on the mission platform.
When real-time signal reconstruction
is required, either replay signal
modules can be added to the Airborne
series or the
GSR range of rack mounting
ground reproducers can be employed.
IRIG106
Chapter 10 compliant versions are
available.

D7000
The D7000 Series provides state-of-the-art mission recording capability to acquire data from multiple avionics signal sources and accurately record them to non-volatile media in a rugged, compact package. Designed to provide flexibility in the integrated signal interfaces and front connector configuration, D7000 is an effective replacement for legacy video and data recorders, offering improved signal capabilities, enhanced performance and greater reliability within pre-existing size and power limitations.
The D7000 offers both standard and custom configured, off-the-shelf solutions for the varying needs of flight test and operational avionics recording both for new installations and programs requiring form/fit upgrade of old equipment. |

D5000
This new range of flight recorders provides reliable high bit rate digital recording in a compact, rugged housing. The D5000 Series retains the field proven performance and user friendly features of other Heim flight recorders and adds reduced size, front mounted connectors, front configured signal modules and enhanced channel capacity, providing conveniently adaptable data acquisition resources in a small, lightweight package.
32 - 256 Mbit/s maximum
3 module slots accommodate any combination of signal interface modules.

D20f
20 Mbit/s total bit rate
6 signal module slots
3/4 ATR size
Plug-in storage media
The D20f is a robust, high signal capacity system developed to provide the ultimate flexibility and economy for flight test engineers. 6 module slots provide extensive choice of signal interface configuration from the wide range of available interface modules. Depending on the particular mission requirements data can be stored either onto hard disk, tape or solid state media contained in pluggable media cartridges. The user can immediately deploy the media of choice due to the plug & play functionality of the storage cartridges. The option for instant upgrade and new media types is retained throughout the life of the recorder and affords application, deployment and support possibilities not available to fixed media systems. The D20f provides up to 20 Mbit/s recording speed and SCSI download speed is as fast as the maximum transfer speed of the chosen media. |

|
D200f
The D200f system is similar to the D20f system and has a 256 Mbit/s system data rate. This provides an extremely compact, high bit rate, single box signal multiplexing and recording solution for a wide variety of non-benign environment applications. The pluggable media ensures the best media type in terms of speed, data capacity and cost and can always be optioned at any time through the product life, including advanced new media types yet to be developed.
The D200f also has a built in Ethernet interface that allows the user to integrate data acquisition into networked control and monitoring systems. |

D20ix2
FORM 100 A Safety approval
20 Mbit/s total bit rate
6 signal module slots
3/4 ATR size
AIT-2 drive for 5 hrs recording at 20 Mbit/s
With FORM 100 A Safety approval the D20ix2 has been taken to the limits for rugged, compact and flexible data acquisition systems. Integrated heating and the internal shock mounts allow the D20ix to withstand severe environments such as encountered in fighter aircraft and helicopters. |
